Summary: They said that eating chocolate can be compared to feeling in love. However, they also said that it's still an imitation and can't be compared to the real one. So can a chocolate coated love ever turn into a true one? Or it'll just stay as is, melting when things get bad leaving only a sticky mess behind?
1st Chocolate: I got you babe, my Chocolate love
2nd Chocolate: Sulli, Sulli, Sulli, I hate you, I'll kill you!!
Amber’s perfectly sure that this day is the worst day of her entire life, and Choi Sulli’s responsible for it.
If she hadn’t been the stupid girl that she is, she wouldn’t be late from meeting up with Henry to retrieve her books – which is Sulli’s fault as well for being the ‘best-est best friend you’ll ever have in this cruel world’ trying to pry on her non-existent love life – quick and smoothly.
“But I guess you’re not here to meet me?”
And she definitely won’t be in this awkward and embarrassing position with a certain girl who’s practically groping her…breasts, if she had only gone earlier from helping Sulli with her stupid as hell problem.
Sulli, Sulli, Sulli, I hate you, I’ll kill you!
Amber quickly pushed the girl off her quite harshly which caused the latter to stumble a bit on her steps, all with an annoyed huff.
Sorry, but she’s no gentleman, thank you very much.
…Oh wait, she’s not a man anyway.
“No, no! That wasn’t it! Sulli…she just…uhm –”
“Here,” Henry cuts her off by pushing her books to her arms in which she clumsily took as it almost fell from her hold.
“Err, thanks…” Amber mumbled quietly, fixing the books on her hands as she tried to avoid Henry’s suspecting gaze. She can’t help but spazz a little deep inside her, after all he is her not-so-secret-and-it’s-pathetic-as-hell-a
“Next time, make sure to put your things in the right locker,” Henry said monotonously.
“But I didn’t –”
“And make sure that people won’t see you having that kind of public display of affection with your girlfriend,”
Amber gaped at Henry’s words but he doesn’t seem to bother the shock written all over her face and left abruptly – still as cool as ever, she has to note – and rode on a gray Porsche and zooms away.
Well, isn’t this day oh-so fucking wonderful?
“Well, that was rude,” Victoria commented with a scoff as she turned her attention to the boyish girl – Chocolate –beside her.
“Who was he anyway?” she gingerly asked.
“One of the biggest moron I ever met,” the girl answered back quietly, “but I like him anyway,”
Oh. Typical teenage flick story.
Victoria chuckled. She wasn’t expecting to be a witness of this kind of situation between two teenager, especially with the girl looking like a freaking guy. If she didn’t know any better, she’s going to think that this is just so gay, it’ll hurt her brain.
But she have to stop thinking about that, because she just acquired herself a new problem.
“I’m Amber,” the girl suddenly went, stretching out her hand as she cradled her books with the other.
“So tell me, what is this ‘Chocolate’, and you dating me apparently? Are you insane?!” the sudden change in Amber’s voice made Victoria jumps out a few steps backwards.
Yeah, she definitely had to fix this problem.
“I’m really, really sorry about that! It was just…he wasn’t exactly my type and he keeps bothering me? I don’t know what to do to him so I lied about me dating someone…”
“Someone named ‘Chocolate’? Well, that’s really convincing, miss,”
“Well, I can’t think of a name!!”
Amber rolled her eyes from her lame explanation. “That’s really, really stupid.”
Right on cue, they saw Hangeng leaving the café a few meters away from them. He’s obviously depressed, Victoria noted and she can’t help but feel guilty for turning him down tonight. But it’s better off that way than make him hopeful that she could reciprocate his feelings for her when she clearly can’t.
“Hey, maybe I could help you on this,” Amber said. Victoria beamed.
“But on one condition,”
“You are so stupid. Do you know how many times I’ve told you that?!”
“Probably how much you bitched about your goddamn beauty products,”
Hangeng scowled and went straight to his room, making sure to shut his door loudly for Heechul to hear.
“Maybe you should stop being such an emo freak and talk to me about you fucking issues with that girl!” he heard Heechul yell from the other side of the door.
Maybe he was helplessly in love, maybe he was the worst emo kid next door, maybe he was neglecting his friends too much for this girl, so maybe he should try to liven up a little.
He could hear Heechul arguing with Siwon and Kibum as they tried to calm him down from trying to break Hangeng’s door.
Yes, he definitely need to be locked up on a mental asylum to be a saner and better person.
Meet me after class tomorrow at the front gates – Henry
“OH MY GOD OH MY GOD OH MYYYYYY GOOOOOODDDDDDD!!!” Sulli screamed in excitement right next to her ear and Amber swore that she just became her living ear wax remover.
“Oh my God, shut the hell up!” Amber yelled back at Sulli, pushing her away.
“Oh my God, he wanted to meet up with you after class!”
“He said tomorrow, not today, Sulli,”
“Well, when did you get your books back?”
“Yes, last night. So that means, tomorrow is actually today, stupid.”
So much for being such a smart ass.
It was during their Physics class that Amber noticed a note slipped inside her book that she got last night from Henry. The content definitely surprised her to no end.
Henry Lau’s asking her to meet up with him. The world’s seriously coming into its drastic end.
“You should totally go, this is your chance!”
“I won’t,” Amber stubbornly replied as she snatched the note from Sulli and stuffed it inside her backpack’s pocket, “And I can’t.”
“Why can’t you?! Think of the possibilities! He’ll probably ask you out on a date or something!”
She had to question herself again on why Sulli is her best friend – she definitely isn’t the best friend she’s hoping to have.
“I can’t, okay. Donghae’s fetching me later. He’ll kill me if I don’t go with him this time. I turned his invitation to meet up with his friends for God knows how many times already.”
“Ugh, so it’s Donghae-oppa. That, I couldn’t argue.”
“But you should really meet up with him, you know! It’ll probably just a quick talk!”
“Thanks, but no thanks,”
“No, you will, because if you won’t, I’m going to declare to the whole campus that the boyish Amber is actually crushing on Henry Lau.”
And with that, Sulli stuck her tongue out on her teasingly then ran away from her.
Sulli, Sulli, Sulli, I hate you, I’ll kill you!!
“You’re Victoria, right?”
Victoria stood stunned at the guy in front of her. It wasn’t the first time that she saw him, he’s actually a regular but she never caught his name.
Stylish, handsome, pretty, an aura of confidence – definitely Victoria’s type of guy.
She handed him his Mocha Frappuccino with shaky hands and nodded shyly. She wanted to ask him how he knew her name but took it back as she forgot that her nameplate probably gave it away.
“Kim Heechul,” he introduced and stretched out a hand for her to shake. Victoria wiped her hands through her apron before taking the offered hand, “Victoria Song.”
“I know,” Heechul said with a smirk and Victoria felt like she’s about to faint.
“Do you have anything to do after your shift?”
“Uhm, none. Why?”
“Meet me after, I’ll take you out.”
Victoria just freaking died inside.
Sulli, Sulli, Sulli, I hate you, I’ll kill you!!
Amber can’t afford her secret to be known by the whole school body so she went at the front gates to meet up with Henry as Sulli commanded. When Sulli said something like this, she is sure as hell is serious – blackmail is always a handy weapon for her best friend.
“Hey Amber!” Henry called out from behind her making her stomach churn in excitement.
Composure Amber! Composure!
“Here,” Henry suddenly handed him two navy blue cards with a pleasant smile, “Invitation.”
“Invitation? For what?”
Amber carefully opened one of the cards and read what was written inside. Her eyes widen in shock and excitement, “Invitation for your birthday party?!”
“Yeah. There’s two of them. Just give one to your friend, Sulli is it? Because I don’t think you’ll go without her, so I invited her too.”
She can’t help but think, Did he like Sulli? but erased it out of her mind.
“Why didn’t you give it last night?” Amber then asked.
Last night wasn’t exactly a pleasant meeting between them; in fact, he kind of turned her off from the personality he showed her.
“Oh, the invitation cards are only printed today. And…about last night, I’m sorry about how rudely I acted.” Henry sincerely said, “Sulli texted me and said it was her fault on why your books were on my locker and about the girl…well, think I got a little too over the top with that.”
She wanted to yell out happily that OH THAT’S OKAY, I FORGIVE YOU ALREADY! but what her mind actually screamed is SULLI HAS HIS NUMBER?!
SULLI, SULLI, SULLI, I HATE YOU, I’LL KILL YOU!!
“So, anyway, you’re going right?” Amber can’t do anything but smile and nod at his question, her heart skipping a beat as Henry smiled back at her. She’s sure that Sulli’s going to blackmail her again if she decided not to attend the party.
“Great! And oh, you want a ride? My brother Sungmin’s coming anytime soon, maybe we could give you a lift?”
Ugh, if only I could! Damn you Donghae! Why today?!
“Nah, it’s okay, someone’s fetching me up today. I’m– ” her words was cut off by a familiar sound of a horn.
A black Benz parked beside them and as the driver opened the window, it showed none other than Donghae.
“Hey Amber, come on we’re almost late,” Donghae went, not even bothering to regard Henry beside Amber.
“Oh he’s here. I’m really sorry, I’ll see you tomorrow.” Amber hastily said then went to the passenger’s seat’s side and rode the car; missing the disappointed look Henry just sported as they drove away.
“He said he’s going to take Victoria out since you’re not around at the café and took this opportunity,” Siwon calmly informed Hangeng through the phone.
Oh no you didn’t, Kim Heechul!
“Hyung, what are we –”
“Do you know where he’s going to take her?” Hangeng tried to be as calm as possible as he rummaged through his closet for something to wear. He decided not to go to the café that day to give himself some time to think but apparently, Heechul being the bitch best friend he is, did something that he never expected.
Take the girl he has fallen head over heels out.
“At Sapphire Blue,”
Oh fuck, no.
